What makes a great wedding ceremony space

What makes a great ceremony space for a wedding? Ambiance, character, personality and color all contribute to creating a space that speaks to individual style and adds intimate touches to the ceremony ritual. The ceremony location can be romantic, fun, colorful, white, airy or architectural-each venue has it's own aura and characteristics that make each space special. In choosing a ceremony venue, the best pictures are those that allow the photographer unrestricted access in and around the ceremony. This allows your photographer to capture all the great moments during the ceremony while also photographing the entire space that each couple has created. Below are some of my favorite ceremony venues in and outside of Chicago. All pictures are from Dawn E Roscoe Photography.
Vintage chandeliers and artifacts at Salvage One Chicago.
Neutral Mandap with orange and purple accents for an Indian ceremony at Chicago Iluminating Company.
Gorgeous white Chuppah at the Doubletree in Skokie, IL.
Open air ceremony space at Architectural Artifacts, Chicago.
The famous blue themed stained glass in Alice Millar Chapel at Northwestern University.
The quintessential Chicago skyline at The Adler Planetarium.
Outdoor barn wedding at Heritage Prairie Farms, Elburn, IL.
